What is Tele-communication ?
Tele of anything means from a distance. It is a greek word ( well, it’s greek to me ! ) and when appended to another word, brings about the ‘distance’ effect. Phone, is the sounds that we make, phonetics. When we speak, we actually articulate what we want to ‘say’ using phonetics. This is why dictionaries use phonetics to describe a word, especially in a foreign language or tongue, because phonetics allows us to saythem out or speak them out . Writing, unless it isin artistic symbols, does not indicate how it should sound like. These sounds make us understand each other. And we are limited by how far we can throw these sounds to communicate. So, to wrap it all up nicely… • the Tele-Phone, allows us to Tele-communicate, using sounds we human make to convey or carry messages which themselves bear the meaning .
