Tektronix is notifying all owners of AFG3000 Series instruments and providing them with user-installable upgrade kits, either directly or through their distributors. For new instruments, the grounding post has been modified from a through thread to a closed thread end. This prevents users from being able to access power supply circuitry by inserting a longer than recommended screw or other thin metal object.
