Hi If you put Information first then technology to answer this the meaning of Information technology is being able to transfer and recieve information between two given points where the information transmitted and recieved is understood by the sender and reciever So it has the same meaning only using Systems rather than human language. if some one said Good mornig to you then you would understand and reply If you scan an item at a supermarket the bar code on it is understood by the till scanner and the store computer to update the stock level thats a technology and information system. it benefits the retail Industry coz it can update the stock situation instantly between retailer supplier and Customer plus it also cuts down on expenditure for the retailer having to do it manually.
