What is Teachers/Professionals Increment (TPI) and Administrators Professional Increment (API)?
TPI applies to Teachers and Professionals after 5 years at step 10 of the salary schedule or after 14 years of teaching with the Pittsburgh Public Schools, whichever comes first. The stipend for TPI is $200/month for 10 months. API applies to Administrators who have 10 or more years of administrative service with the Pittsburgh Public Schools. The stipend for API is $100/month (for 12 months) for 10 years of service. Once you reach 14 or more years of service, the stipend for API increases to $200/month (for 12 months).
