What is Tax Fraud and where can it be reported?
Examples of Tax Fraud are fraudulent employer W-2 forms, unrecorded payments to employees, unlicensed businesses, failure to file tax returns, failure to pay or correctly report taxes, tax evasion activity and unreported income. Tax Fraud can be reported to the Tax Fraud Hotline at 614-246-7862 or emailed to incometax@cityofwhitehall.com. The idenity of all callers will remain confidential and their complaints(s) and/or allegation(s) will be thoroughly evaluated and, where appropriate, investigated in a timely manner. Anyone wishing to report tax fraud or tax abuse to the City of Whitehall is encouraged to contact the Hotline immediately. With the information received, further tax fraud can be prevented.
