What is Target Archery? What are Thrown Weapons?
Target Archery is the sport of shooting a bow or crossbow at a non-living target. It is distinct from SCA Combat Archery in that we use actual points on the arrows and shoot into a soft target. Thrown Weapons involves throwing knives, axes, hurlbats, and spears at a wooden or other non-living target for competition. Collectively, Target Archery and Thrown Weapons are sometimes referred to as “Live Weapons”.
