Short, informal safety meetings conducted at the crew level on a periodic and as-needed basis, by first line supervisors regarding job-related hazards and safe work practices. What Is the Goal of Tailgate Safety Training? To inform employees of specific hazards associated with a task and the safe way to do the job. It also serves as a reminder to employees of what they already know, and establishes the supervisor’s credibility and conscientiousness about his or her responsibilities for safety.
