What is T9™ Text Input?
To enable and use T9: • From standby, select “Menu” > Messaging. • Select Write new > Message. • If predictive text input (T9) is enabled, a T9 icon will be visible. If there is no T9 icon, press and hold * to enable T9. • Press the number keys that correspond to the letters in the word you’re trying to spell. Use # for space. • If the resulting word is not the word you intended to write, press the navigation key downwards to select the correct word from the list. • Press the navigation key to replace the typed word with the one in the list. • To use Multitap text editing, disable T9 by pressing and holding *. • With Multitap you press one or more times on the same button until the letter you want appears.
