What is SYS?
Shelby Youth Sports ( SYS) is the name of the league we are in. Shelby Youth Sports is different than most other organizations. We are governed by a Board of Directors comprised of a few officers and representatives from each area that participates. The area representatives set rules, policies and guidelines for the sports and the management of the association. The officers are responsible for the administration of these rules as well as the day-to-day operations of the organization. We think this creates a great organization. One that is reactive to the changing needs of our most important part…. The Youth Participants. As a condition of the association membership, each area offers program services in Track and Field, Cheerleading and Football to youths located within the local area’s physical territories. SYS assigns boundaries to areas in order to stabilize each member’s area participant base. In addition to program service requirements, each area must abide by and adhere to the SYS
