What is Synovitis Ankle Joint?
Ankle Synovitis or Synovitis ankle is the condition in which an injury is caused to the synovial membrane which is present in the ankle. This injury causes inflammation of the synovium which in turn results in swelling and pain. It is due to this inflammation that excess of fluid leaks out in to the joint resulting in the blocking of the nutrients in the surfaces surrounding the synovium. Due to this blockage, instability and degradation of the cartilage is caused in the joint. The presence of inflammation can also exert an extra pressure on the joint surfaces.
