Summit borrowing is a Web-based service that allows OHSU students, faculty and staff with current library cards to request books from other Orbis Cascade Alliance libraries . The service is fast, easy to use and accessible at any time from the Library or your home or office, by connecting to the Summit catalog. What can I request through Summit Borrowing? All Orbis Cascade Alliance member libraries loan generally circulating books through this service, and some member libraries may loan other types of materials, such as videos, DVD’s and music CDs. Requests for journal articles and items unavailable via Summit Borrowing can be obtained through ILL Express. How can I request Orbis Cascade Alliance materials? Search the OHSU catalog or Summit union catalog. Once you have identified an item that you want to borrow, simply follow the on-screen instructions, starting with “REQUEST THIS ITEM.” The system will prompt you for your last name, OHSU library barcode and institution.
