Suedecloth (or suede cloth) is 100% polyester fabric. Oddly enough, suedecloth is often used for costumes. What makes it perfect for use in cloth diapers is that it is extremely soft to the touch, keeps baby feeling dry because it doesn’t absorb moisture, and is highly stain-resistant (even with breastfed babies). It can also withstand the washing conditions necessitated by cloth diapering, including bleaching.
