What is SuccessMaker?
SuccessMaker is an automated, self-directed computer program. In fifth grade, we use SuccessMaker’s Math Concepts and Skills and Readers’ Workshop programs. Do all classes at RSES use SuccessMaker? Yes. In the fifth grade, each class does one 45-minute unit of math and a 45-minute unit of reading every six school days. Will you be sending reports of my student’s SuccessMaker progress? Yes. Look for a two-sided math/reading report in the last FF of each month. As long as my supply lasts, I will use yellow paper for these reports. Can I get SuccessMaker reports online? Sorry, no. I will send them once a month. If you want to know your student’s scores at another time, please email me, and I will print a report for you. What is IPM? IPM is Initial Placement Motion. This is the initial placement phase of SuccessMaker that usually lasts for the first month or two of school.
