What is SubSeven?
My firewall reports that IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is trying to access my computer through port 2773.I wouldn’t be so angry if that guy or girl wasn’t one of the many script kiddies trying to enter my computer with a client of one of all versions of the SubSeven trojan.SubSeven is a trojan horse which if installed on a computer, opens a backdoor that can be used by script kiddies for doing a big mess. That’s why maybe it’s their most favorite toy.If you execute the trojan server(also known as host) on your computer,it will open a port which can be used by a SubSeven client. And a client is used by someone to play a joke with you or in most cases to destroy data or steal valuable information such as passwords. Many versions of SubSeven exist but they are not so different each other, they only have different functions and use different ports.Unfortunately, many antivirus programs, such as Norton Antivirus for example, can’t clean most versions of SubSeven, but there are programs like The Cleaner
