What is subject to classification in Alberta?

0

Any filmed entertainment playing in public for an admission fee must be classified. This includes but is not limited to films playing at a commercial theatre, repertory screenings, outdoor screenings, and fundraisers. Any time admission is charged, the film must be classified. Screenings of special events such as concerts or promotional screenings of films about to be released on home video must be classified if they are pre-recorded. As live-streaming special event presentations such as sporting events cannot be pre-screened by Alberta Film Classification, they are exempt from classifications and viewers attend at their own risk.
