What is stump grinding ?
Stump grinding is the best way to remove tree stumps. A machine with a cutting wheel is brought to the stump. Once in position, the wheel with large cutting teeth begins to spin. The blade is then lowered onto the stump hydraulically with a back and forth sweeping motion. This process is repeated until the stump ground below the lawn surface.
Stump grinding is a mechanical process which removes the visible portion of the tree once the tree has been removed. At Steele Stump Removal we recommend removing a stump at a minimum of 24 inches below the surface of the soil. Once the stump has been removed we will then grind the grind the stump into particles that can be used for mulching purposes.
