What is stream capture and how is it different from audio recording?
The Stream Capture function downloads the content directly from the network stream. Stream capture has many advantages over the other recording methods. • You can record silently without using the sound card. • You can record multiple streams at the same time. • You get perfect reproduction and the smallest possible file size. • Background noises are always eliminated. To take full advantage of Replay AV, always set your show’s properties to “capture by downloading” and “stream capture”. You’ll find these options in the “recording” tab of each of your scheduled shows. Remember to always use a URL that is direct to the audio/video stream itself (not the URL of a web page). If you not know the URL of the content that you want to capture, use the URL Finder to detect the URL for you. Note: The Quick Audio Record function does not stream capture.
