WHAT IS STRATEGIC INDEPENDENT AGENTS ALLIANCE – CANADA (SIAAC)?
• A National Insurance Brokerage Alliance that writes in excess of $4.6 billion in premium and has more than 2,300 independent brokerage members • SIAAC, along with the Master Brokerage, offers commission and profit sharing override opportunities to smaller Independent Brokerages who want to be competitive and remain independent. • SIAAC, in conjunction with the Master Brokerage, is building a national insurance distribution network • The concept was created in 1983 with the Satellite Brokerage Network Group, Inc. (SAN Group) • SAN Group, SIAAC’s original Master Brokerage, was formed in response to a changing Independent Brokerage system in New England, where smaller brokerages were finding it difficult to be competitive and survive • SIAAC was created in 1995 to replicate the SAN Group concept throughout the country • The SIAAC Business Plan calls for the appointment of 239 Master Brokerages and approximately 5,000 Independent Brokerage, servicing over 300 territories!
