What is Storm in Heaven, and what are scanlations?
[top] Storm in Heaven (SiH) a group of fans that have formed a scanlation (from scan and translation) group, which is a group that releases English translations of manga. We import manga (Japanese comics), scan them, translate them, and insert the English translations into the scans for distribution. We do not scanlate series licensed for distribution in English, since it would take away from sales that support the authors and companies. Our goal is to build fanbases for the titles we do in hopes that they will get licensed (which benefits the original Japanese author). If a title we’re working on does get licensed, we drop it and cease distribution. We’re a non-profit group of fans. We do not claim any ownership of the manga we scanlate; they are the property of their creators. Any questions, comments, or feedback can be emailed to the group coordinator, Kalendel.
