What is stochastic screening?
Stochastic screening is a technology we offer on our output devises that applies a halftone dot with variable spacing. Unlike traditional AM screening, Stochastic screening can put dots closer together to better simulate shadow areas or it can put dots farther apart to give better quality in highlight areas. The variability of the screening process benefits you because it limits the typical moiré pattern that occurs with AM screening and it increases the detail in your image areas.
