What is Stable Duty and why is it necessary?
Stable Duty is a time allotted for HIT students to get ‘hands on’ experience working with the horses. It is an opportunity for the students to practice skills already learned and to learn new skills in and around the barn. The HIT students are responsible for the care and upkeep of the school horses and their equipment. They will assist with daily routines in the barn with regards to the schoolies only. This includes, but, is not limited to mucking stalls, grooming, and first aid care.
