What is St. James Family Counseling Center?
St. James Family Counseling Center (FCC) was founded by a husband and wife team, Reverends Gerald and Margaret Bailey. The Bailey’s compassion and desire to serve the community and more specifically, families, was instrumental in opening FCC. Seeing the devastation of high divorce rates, drug-related crime and HIV/AIDS in our communities they asked the proverbial question, “what can we do, Lord?” and thus the St. James FCC, “an anchor of hope”. Having experienced some of these problems in their own families they have a heart for the work. Its mission is to provide counseling assistance to the people of Faith and community at large, regardless of race, creed or color and financial status. St. James FCC is a pastoral-counseling agency in which emotional health is approached by using both psychological and theological perspectives, individual and group counseling to facilitate stability and wellness.
