What is Srebrenica Genocide?
The Srebrenica Massacre, also known as Srebrenica Genocide, was the July 1995 killing of an estimated 8,000 Bosniak males, in the region of Srebrenica in Bosnia and Herzegovina by units of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS) under the command of General Ratko Mladić during the Bosnian War. In addition to the Army of Republika Srpska, a paramilitary unit from Serbia known as the “Scorpions” participated in the massacre. It’s the largest mass murder in Europe since World War II. It’s relatively obscure maybe because there wasn’t much media coverage on it, at least in other parts of the world.
Srebrenica is the symbol of evil, and specifically Serb evil. It was a horror without parallel in the history of Europe since the Second World War in which there was a cold-blooded execution of at least 8,000 Muslim men, boys and women; not to mention rape and pillage at the hands of the organized pathetic serb army.
