WHAT IS SPECIAL OR UNIQUE ABOUT THE COBA MAYAN RUINS?
Coba is the only Mayan Ruins site in the area to be set in the jungle, which gives it a mystical “Indiana Jones” feel. You can rent rickshaws or bicycles to get around the ruins site, which is unique. Coba is one of the ruins where you can still climb the great pyramid, which is immensely popular, since it affords you incredible vistas of the Riviera Maya. Also nice is that Coba is less touristy than Tulum or Chichen Itza. However, it can get muggy in the summer months, so not recommended for people who have difficulty breathing.
