What is special about the Culinary Education Center?
The Culinary Education Center is student-centered, dedicated to providing a high-quality culinary educational experience. The facility offers state-of-the art kitchens, lecture rooms, computer/distance learning labs stressing the application of technologies for instruction as well as in the culinary industry. Instructors and support staff meet on a weekly basis to plan for an interactive and interesting training program. Students are invited to attend field-trips to local professional fish and vegetable markets, casinos, hotels, wineries, and restaurants. Students are encouraged to participate in local, regional, state, and national foods competitions. Instructors, mentors, and support staff are available to personalize instruction and to provide intervention support promoting student success.
