What is special about Hungarian down?
The clusters of down from Hungarian geese have longer filaments, making each cluster greater in volume than the down from other geese. We therefore need less down to get the same warmth retention in the duvet resulting in the Hungarian duvets being lighter. Additionally the quality of the down is better ensuring the duvet remains plump and filled for longer. What Tog? Our duvets are sold in three warmth categories, defined as Tog rating in the UK. The higher the tog, the warmer the duvet. As a guide, we recommend 4.5 tog duvets for summer, 9.0 tog duvets for Spring and Autumn and the 13.5 tog duvet for winter.
