What is some facts about the country chile?
Chile is a very long country running down the western side of South America. The Pacific Ocean is on the west, the Andean mountains are on the west. From the northern part where the Atacama Desert dominates the landscape, it is the driest desert in the world. The central area stretching from just north of Santiago down to Puerto Montt is fertile and fruit, vegetables, lumbering, copper mining and many more industries have made Chile a leading country in Latin America with a solid economy. Car ownership is very high and all models can be seen, American, European, Japanese, Korean, etc. From Puerto Montt on south as far as Punta Arenas, the terrain is wooded and no through road to the south exists as yet, although they are working on it. Travellers must go into Argentina to read Punta Arenas. There are many fiords, small islands and the finishing industry is big business in the south. From Punta Arenas, people go into the Antarctic. La Tirana is based on folklore about an Indian Princess
