What is Solidarity Experiences Abroad?
Solidarity Experiences Abroad is a Brock program organized by Campus Ministries in partnership with International Services, which provides international experiences in social justice, culture, spirituality and community development projects. It aims to provide students with an opportunity to experience hands-on solidarity at a new level. Not only are students placed outside of their comfort zones, helping and working in developing countries, but students also explore the culture and history of the country. As well, students connect and interact with local university students, professors and local residents. The final objective of this program is to encourage students to explore and challenge their personal beliefs and mindsets. The trips give students the opportunity of incorporating the valuable skills participants learned on their trips leads into their daily lives and future careers.
