What is Software activation ?
Software activation OR Product activation is meant for preventing software piracy. It prevents the user from installing and using the software on multiple computers without multiple licenses. When a user installs the software on multiple computers, it will show different product serial numbers for different computers. If you want to activate the software on any computer, you have to send the Product serial number shown on that particular computer only to us along with payment. We will send the software activation code pertaining to that particular computer. That code will be capable of activating that particular computer only and it cannot activate any other computer. A typical software activation code will be a 24 digit alpha-numeric and it will look like the one shown below.
Software activation is the process of authorizing the computer for licensed use of the software. For volume license configuration, each computer using the product is activated using the same license number. Industry standard, network deployment or software managing techniques may be used to install and activate the software over a large network. For concurrent license configuration, only the TI Admin Software (license management software) is activated on a server computer. The software on a client computer checks out a license instead of being activated.
