What is Socialism? How does it affect us?

1

Socialism is a process that eventually makes all the people “equal”, it is a believe that everyone deserves a certain lifestyle. Basically money is taken/taxed from the rich and dispersed down to the poor. Socialism is also a very government controlled system. The government ends up owning and regulating key aspects of a country. So a hot topic issue would be health care. Socialism countries have free health care. And people tend to “idolize” that and wish we had it in the US. The thing is that they don’t take into consideration the waiting lists and the poor health care you can get in the end. I don’t believe it’s a good thing, many people to believe it is good though. It’s very European. But if you look at the socialistic economies you’d see that they don’t do so well. People work to get the money that they have, and I think they deserve that. People that don’t work and just sit around, do not deserve to have the same lifestyle of everyone else.
