What is so special about the Alaskan Malamute?
I love this question… My husband had Malamutes growing up and all of his adult life. I grew up raising Great Danes and while I have a soft spot in my heart for Danes there really is no comparison to a Malamute. Mals are so smart and loving and truly have to have their family near them. They will talk to you “woo woo” and watch over you like no other dog I’ve ever known. Their intelligence is so profound and their beauty is so majestic. To watch them work doing the things that they love to do such as pulling, running and even playing is very entertaining. Not to mention Malamutes are very special as they are one of the few dogs in the entire world that is considered minimally “unchanged” from their ancestry.
