What is so special about Firenock “G” series target nock?
There have been many attempts to make a dependable and long lasting lighted target nock. The Firenock “G” series target nock uses the same acceleration switch as does the Firenock “G” hunting series, but the target nock will automatically deactivate after 15 to 17 seconds. Where as the Firenock “G” series hunting nock will remain activated for as long as the battery lasts or until it is manually deactivated. Unlike many other attempts to manufacture a dependable lighted target nock (using a pure digital design or a capacity circuit, etc.), Firenock target nocks are based on an IC (integrated circuit) design that uses a digital time counter. Capacity circuit designs are not reliable and they are not dependable in higher temperatures. Because voltage tends to drop in batteries in cold weather, pure digital designs will not function well in a low temperature environment.
