What is so important about FCC certification?
FCC certification assures that the device meets certain requirements set up by the United States Government, it is the law on commercial devices that transmit any substantial RF power like Paging alarms. It prevents things like changing your TV channel when arming your alarm. If it does not have FCC approval or certification chances are it is not a very good device because it could not pass the stringent requirements set up by the FCC. In addition the penalty for importing and or selling a device that has not been FCC certified is extremely costly.
