WHAT IS SO GOOD ABOUT TIDAL POWER?
Unlike most renewable power sources, tidal power is entirely predictable. It has a cycle slightly longer than 24 hours and generally the amount of power available is very accurately predictable days, weeks, months, years and decades in advance. The phase of tidal power varies from location to location, and if designed appropriately, can be made to provide significant base load power. Tidal power is almost completely untapped, and there is a huge available resource. Tidal resources (if non-barrage) are generally scalable and can be made appropriate to a grid connection, or to a local community’s needs.
