What is so desirable about old cobblestones?
There are three reasons why old stone is so unique and cannot be replicated. 1. The natural aging of the stone ; the top surface of the stone is worn smooth from hundreds of years of traffic, also the mineral deposits, graining and color are superior in comparison to new quarried stone. 2. Vintage cobblestones were hand cut and are available in various sizes. 3. The stones have color variations dependant on where the stone came from and the wear of the stone.
