What is Snowdon like?
Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales and the highest British mountain south of the Scottish Highlands. It’s known as “probably the busiest mountain in Britain” and is located in Snowdonia National Park. The summit lies at an altitude of 1,085 metres above sea level and features a brand new cafe and visitor’s centre. In good weather, Snowdon is enormous fun to trek up, although it is normally very cold at the summit. It’s unlikely to be snow-covered at the time of year we’ve chosen to visit, luckily! It’s the perfect peak to end our challenge on.
