What is sniffing?
Sniffing is when a machine listens to all traffic on a network segment, instead of just the traffic intended for it. Much like when you pick up an extension of a telephone, you can hear the current conversation. There are programs available for many types of computer that allow them to monitor all the traffic on their segment of the network. Use of such programs on the RPI network may will be considered a violation of the conditions of use agreement, and may also violate state and federal law.
