What is Smile Design?
When designing your new smile, we use the information gathered during your Smile Analysis to create a customized treatment plan that will best meet your aesthetic goals. Since no two patients are alike, no two treatment plans are exactly alike. Most importantly, as members of your treatment “team,” we will listen to you every step of the way. We firmly believe communication is the key to successful aesthetic dentistry.
Each person has an individual smile, one that is uniquely shaped and balanced to the symmetry of his or her face. With Smile Design, we can help show you what your best smile can look like. We take into account many features of your face and mouth to design the most enhancing smile for you. Come in and talk to us about the exciting possibilities.
Smile design is a highly technical process requiring great skill and experience to achieve a natural looking beautiful smile. It takes artistic ability and extensive knowledge to create the smile you desire. Techniques require precise measurements based upon mouth shape, gum lines, lips and natural shape of the teeth.
Smile design is the process of studying your mouth, teeth and facial features and then coming up with a treatment plan that will give you the best possible smile. We don’t just take your picture and manipulate it with a computer to change the look. We take diagnostic impressions of your teeth, make a diagnostic wax up, using them to determine what is actually possible to achieve in your mouth.
During Smile Design, Dr. Tripp looks at all the factors that compose a smile; these are the shape of a smile, the size, the smile line, and the position of your teeth, lips, and gums when you smile. He listens to what you want to accomplish and any concerns you may have. Once he has this information, he can generate an image of your new smile, review the smile design results with you, and discuss the next steps to make it happen.
