The Super Smash Bros. series is a game series with 3 installations. The first game was Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 64 in 1999. It featured 12 characters and multiplayer. The next installation was Super Smash Bros. Melee for the Nintendo Gamecube. It featured 25 characters, a new special mode, 51 events, and more multiplayer features. The newest installation is Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Nintendo Wii. It features 35 characters, a stage builder, a new Story Mode, more multiplayer, and online features. Brawl dropped 5 characters from Melee, which upset some fans. The series was created by Masahiro Sakuri, the creator of the Kirby games.
