What is SmartMusic?
A SmartMusic subscription is required for all students in the AMS Band program. SmartMusic is groundbreaking software and technology that greatly enhances the student musical experience. This software encourages practicing and makes practicing fun. This program will assess students and show them where they made mistakes and also allows students to record themselves. Becoming a discerning listener is one of the greatest skills a musician can have, and this program helps students become their own best critic. In addition, this program allows students to log in to the SmartMusic site to receive director assignments that can be submitted via internet. We will use this software for this purpose many times throughout the year, and students will likely have weekly assignments to complete through SmartMusic.
