What is SMART Start?
SMART Start is the David Eccles School of Business online and inperson mentoring program. As a mentor, you will be matched with a group of students who have experience or an interest your industry. You will be expected to attend an opening reception at the beginning of the school year to meet your students and interact with them an additional 2 to 3 times over the course of the year. You may decide to meet with your students as a group, or hold individual meetings with your students to provide one-on-one guidance. As a student, you have the opportunity to participate in a mentoring relationship with a member of our vibrant business community. You will be paired with one or two other students and will meet with your mentor two or three times during the academic year. The program kicks off the beginning of the school year with an opening reception where you will be introduced to your mentor and begin to plan what you hope to accomplish.
