Sizzix is a die-cut machine. It will cut the Broadway Alphabets (font) out of any kind of paper. Sidekick is just a smaller form of the regular Sizzix machine. It uses smaller dies. I’m going to assume that you’re asking because of the Jo-ann’s Friday special. It sounds like a great deal, but Sizzix seems to be on the decline because there are some better die-cut alternatives out in the market now. The Sizzix even the Sizzix sidekick is a bulky especially considering that you have to have all the dies with it. As well as you can only cut out that one size. There are new machines (e.g. Cricut) that you can cut out multiple sizes of a font that would cost about the same or less as purchasing a font for the Sizzix machine.
