What is significant about the UroVysion Kit?
The UroVysion Kit is the first FDA-cleared genomic DNA-probe test for monitoring recurrence of bladder cancer. The test can be performed in most cytology laboratories with little additional equipment. It provides the same specificity as traditional cytology but much greater sensitivity, particularly for the more aggressive and invasive types of bladder cancer.
