What is Shoutcast?
Shoutcast is a method of Streaming MP3 across the internet. Sites that stream mp3 audio are called (strangely enough), Stations. Shoutcast works with WinAmp 2.2. Since its MP3 and WinAmp, its ultra high quality sound – noticeably better than RealAudio. To tune into a Shoutcast station first stop into the Shoutcast web site and pick out a station to listen to.
