What is Short Term Operating Reserve (STOR)?
STOR is the most important category of fast-acting generation or demand-reduction capacity which National Grid always holds ready to keep the electricity system stable. Flexitricity provides STOR by starting standby generators, reducing electricity consumption, and turning up CHP and hydro generators, on instruction from National Grid.
