What is ShieldedMail and why do I need it?
ShieldedMail allows you to create Aliases – virtual email addresses that you can use to send and receive email without disclosing your true email address. As soon as you enter an email address in a form on the Web, you lose control of it. Once spammers have your real email address, there is no way to make them stop sending you junk email. ShieldedMail protects your online privacy by hiding your real email address. When you want to sign up for services with a web site that requires you to hand over your email address, just give them an Alias. All email sent to your Alias is automatically forwarded to the associated real email address. If you receive spam or don’t like what is being sent to you, just close or deactivate the Alias.
