What is shear force in fluid particle?

Submitted by: Adhavan04 Shear stress in the fluid is also termed as viscosity of the fluid which is defined as the resistance offered by the fluid for the movement of one layer of fluid over another adjacent layer of fluid. For example: when two layers of a fluid with a distance apart, move one over the other at different velocities, the top layer causes a shear stress on the lower layer of the fluid and the lower layer causes a shear stress on the adjacent top layer.
