What is Service Set Identifier, or SSID in short?
SSID is a wireless network’s identifier. It is the name given to a specific wireless local area network, with a maximum of 32 characters. If the user wants to connect to a certain Wi-Fi area network, their SSID settings must be identical. Therefore, the main role of SSID is to differentiate different wireless local area networks. In a Wi-Fi wireless network, its SSID represents the broadcast name of the Wireless Access Point.
