What is Serevent Diskus used for?
Serevent Diskus is a prescription medicine called a “long-acting beta2-agonist” or LABA. LABA medicines are used in patients who have asthma, who are subject to exercise-induced bronchospasm (EIB), or who have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). LABA medicines work by helping the muscles around the airways in your lungs stay relaxed. Symptoms, such as wheezing and shortness of breath can happen when the muscles around the airways tighten. This tightening makes it hard to breathe. In severe cases, wheezing can stop your breathing and cause death if not treated right away.
