Secure PC is a program offered by FGCU’s Computing Services Department. The program involves initiating multiple security protocols on a user’s PC. The Security Protocols involve restricting unauthorized installation of software. This helps prevent viruses and spyware from installing on a users machine without his or hers knowledge. Another feature of Secure PC is the ability to customize a User’s computer to the specific needs of the Department. This allows each Department to determine what software is deemed acceptable for work use.
